On this page you can find out a little bit more about IBC and the wider Baptist family, the history of IBC and what it means to be in membership here.
Walking well with each other is an important value at IBC. This includes walking well with our wider Baptist family.
IBC is delighted to be part of the South West Baptist Association. You can find out more about the SWBA by clicking the link on this page.
IBC is also connected to the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
We want to love and serve our town with no strings attached. This video which takes a different look at Ilfracombe shows our heart to do just that.
We are thankful to our wider Baptist family who support us through generous home mission giving that enables us to bless our town in a variety of ways. This video was made in the summer of 2019. It captures the vision of IBC to appoint a 'missioner'. At the time of making this video we knew God was calling us to this but did not know how he would sort out the details. We really had to step out in faith.
We have since appointed Aly to the role of missioner and our friends in the United Reformed Church, South West Synod, have blessed us with providing housing for Aly and her family.
We are amazed and thankful for all God has done so far and excited about the future.
Relationship is at the heart of IBC. Walking right with God, with each other and with others are the values our community is built around.
Everyone is welcome to join in with community life at IBC. But for those who would like to make IBC their spiritual home we would like to encourage you to join us in covenant membership. If you would like to know more about this please talk to Aly or one of the deacons.
Covenant membership meetings are central to how we understand ourselves as a worshipping community. These meetings take place every two months. Dates will be announced when appropriate.
